Where Culture, Creativity and Technology Come Together
InDIG-Stories is a culturally safe digital storytelling platform that empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to share their voices, celebrate culture, and build creative and digital skills for the future.
Rooted in the wisdom of our Elders and guided by the voices of young people, InDIG-Stories creates spaces where culture and technology walk side by side—keeping stories alive while opening new pathways for the next generation. Through storytelling, creativity and connection, we support young people to stand proud in who they are and to carry their stories forward with strength.
What We Do
Everything we do at InDIG-Stories is guided by culture, connection and care. Our programs are designed to uplift, empower and inspire young people as they develop creative and digital skills while staying grounded in culture.
Digital Storytelling & Creative Writing Workshops
We support young people to find and share their voice through storytelling. Using tools such as video, voice recording, animation and emerging technologies, participants learn how to bring their stories to life while staying grounded in cultural knowledge and community values.
Tech & Media Skills Training
Our hands-on learning experiences help bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern technology. Students build practical skills in media, storytelling and digital platforms, giving them the confidence to step into creative and digital futures.
Community-Led Content Creation
We work alongside Aboriginal parents, carers, Elders and schools to co-create stories that reflect local identity, language and history. These stories are authentic, respectful and deeply connected to the communities they come from.
Cultural Preservation
Through safe and respectful storytelling practices, we help capture and share non-secret, non-sacred stories that honour our past and protect it for the future. This work strengthens cultural identity and keeps knowledge alive for the next generation.
