Mentoring Services

Connexions provides tailored mentoring to our participants with the aim to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander jobseekers, the underemployed or youth in setting goals and gaining the skills and knowledge needed to reach them.

With all our participants we complete a Skills Gap Analysis to get to know them better and to tailor our assistance to best suit them and their needs. We also use this information to search for employment in industries that are of interest or that the particpant exhibits strong skills for.

Some areas our mentors can assist participants include but are not limited to:

  • creating resumes

  • writing cover letters

  • collecting information

  • support in applying for employment or further education

  • assistance in completing paper work including course work, forms etc

  • providing links to important services such as local Aboriginal Medical Services, housing services, Centrelink etc

All information collected is confidential and stored securely with Connexions. We will only share information with participants permission to the department, health care providers or job networks.

Our mentors are proud Indigenous men and women who are passionate and dedicated to each and everyone of our participants.

We offer a fee for service for job networks, businesses and/or companies that are looking for ways to embed more culturally sensitive support to their clients/staff. Click the button below to register your interest and a Connexions team member will contact you within 5 business days to discuss it further.
